The newly renovated Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum, which has been expanded and revitalized to serve as a memorial and STEM education center, is currently seeking volunteers to support our new STEM education program. Our volunteers play a critical role in engaging, educating, and training our future generations in STEM principles while preserving and perpetuating our submariner’s memorial, history, and legacy.
POSITIONS & DUTIES
Have knowledge or interest in WWII, Naval history, or a background in STEM? We're looking for an outgoing docent to lead guided tours of our museum and WWII fleet submarine. No previous experience is necessary; training and scripts will be provided.
We're looking for someone to help assist us with educating visitors about the Navy's Silent Service, submarines, and the various STEM principles behind their operations. You'll be asked to lead simple, interesting, and engaging science experiments for visitors in the morning during weekdays or on weekends. Training provided, no prior experience necessary.
For general volunteer requests, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator, Brian Fila at firstname.lastname@example.org.
