Accessibility

At the Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum, we are committed to ensuring that all visitors have a welcoming and inclusive experience. While our museum campus is ADA accessible, we acknowledge that certain areas, such as the World War II fleet submarine USS Bowfin, have limitations regarding accessibility.

Accessibility Features
·      The museum campus is ADA accessible, with accommodations such as ramps and designated parking spaces.

·      The USS Bowfin submarine tour requires visitors to walk and navigate through various compartments.

·      Entry and exit to the submarine are facilitated via a sloped brow, which may present challenges for individuals with mobility impairments.

·      Stairways are provided for access to different sections within the submarine, including the forward and aft torpedo rooms.

·      Please note that visitors must pass through seven watertight doors to complete the tour below decks.

Alternative Accommodations
For visitors who may have difficulty accessing the submarine due to mobility limitations, we offer alternative accommodations, including virtual tours and accessible exhibits on the museum campus.

If you have specific accessibility needs or require accommodations not mentioned here, please contact us in advance, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
